“I intend to live forever. So far, so good.”
“Everything is in walking distance, if you have the time.”
– Steven Wright
Ever feel like you’re trying to squeeze a weekend in to a day? A month in to a week? A day in to an hour or two?
Ever wish you had time to stop and find out the answer to the question, “What’s the hurry?”
We don’t have time, of course. We went in early and / or worked late. The kids have soccer and there’s the charity meeting, and the Christmas gifts aren’t going to buy themselves, for cryin’ out loud! We’re supposed to have dinner with the _____’s and I still owe my sister a phone call from two weeks ago. There’s basketball practice and church and book club. PTA meeting conflicts with poker with the boys, which falls on the same night as Mom’s Night Out and The School Carnival. I promised ______ I’d volunteer at the Toy Drive and remember how much it meant to the folks at the nursing home when we took the kids over to sing carols a couple years ago?! The winter choral concert is next week and the dog needs a haircut before we head out for holiday travel and we haven’t had family dinner in over a week, and we’ll miss it again tonight if I don’t get this project done…
There’s a lot to do, isn’t there?
What if we just did one — thing — at — a — time?

Exactly!
