“Thank you for __________…”
– Each of us, to someone who’s made a difference for us
Here’s an idea. Let’s see if we can make it a “movement,” as Arlo Guthrie might say.
Choose two people who’ve made a difference in your life, and that you’ve had no contact with for at least a year.
Next, take two pieces of paper, two envelopes and two stamps. (Not Facebook posts, e-mails or tweets! Paper. Envelopes. Stamps. Lord knows the USPS can use the bidness!)
Write them a note, and tell them a) how they made a difference for you, and b) how much you appreciate it. Be specific. Describe for them what their impact on your life looks and feels like today, for you and for others.
Fold it. Insert it. Address it. Mail it.
Difference makers deserve to know.
