“On a long and lonesome highway East of Omaha, you can listen to engine moaning out it’s one note song… Here I am, on the road again, There I am up on stage, here I go, playing star again. There I go. Turn the page.”
- Lyric from Turn The Page, by Bob Seger
Maybe I love this song because he wrote in on Highway 34, on the bus, between Omaha and Galesburg, IL – no doubt with the hook and chorus inspired by my hometown of Fairfield, IA.
More likely, I love this song because it’s a great song and a better reminder of a solid business and life perspective.
Turn the page.
Whether we’re the star, guy being ostracized in a small town restaurant, dad, executive, homeless dude, here we are. Turn the page.
“Here we are / There I am” is a repeating concept in the song, and it begs the question, where are we going? How will we turn the page? Difference Makers focus on what comes next.
Make it a great weekend.
