“You can’t have everything. Where would you put it?”
– Comedian Steven Wright
Oh, sure, we want to do it all. To have it all. We want to “get” it all. We want to be handsome, fit, well-read, speak multiple languages, be the envy of every eye in the room and write an awesome speech for our “Parent of The Year” banquet.
A quick, pre-blog bit of research, however, confirms that there are still only 24-hours in each of the 7 days that are still the maximum available in each week. And, it’s February, so we get gypped out of a couple days this month!
So, which ones are the real priorities? The Botox? The 90 minutes at the gym every day. The hour of reading at bedtime each night? The Berlitz or Rosetta Stone gift box set and the time to spend with it? See? The well runs pretty dry pretty quickly, doesn’t it?
So, what if we picked one. Thing. At. A. Time?
Maybe two.
And what if we nailed ’em? Wait. Typo. What if we NAILED ’em?
How much of a difference would that make?
