“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”
– Benjamin Franklin
Just over seven months. That’s how long The Diff was on hold. Too long? Long enough? Hard to say.
What’s not hard to say is that I missed the writing. And, that the writing makes me better. Every day we encounter something that could be better, something that could make us better or something that is better — and each instance can, if we’re willing, shift our mindset, our perspective or the filters through which we see the world.
Seth Godin says to “write every day” and Seth Godin makes me better. Issac Asimov got up at 6:30 every morning and typed on an old manual typewriter until noon. Every day. That’s how he published more than 400 books.
Writing is cathartic for me, and I hope that as often as not, you’ll find this blog worth reading, or that it may prompt you to do something worth writing about.
At any rate, The Daily Difference returns with the same, solitary aim: to make a difference.
If you’re willing, share the blog with friends, colleagues, anyone you think can use a dose of difference-making. It’s easy to subscribe (see the box in the lower right-hand corner of this and every post) and I hope you, and they will join in the conversation.

Steve – Incredibly excited to see you back at the wheel – typewriter – keyboard…you get the idea. Since I have the ability to do so – I’ll also look forward to connecting with you in person.
