For about the 50th time, I’ll give this book as a gift this week, this time to a young professional full of passion, talent, integrity and potential — and who, once they learn to trust, will be on their way to surpassing their wildest dreams for success.
The first chapter is titled “Nothing Is As Fast As The Speed of Trust,” and that’s true. Always has been always will be.
On my desk, there is an antique box — a gift from my mom. In it are 7 books, #’s 3-9 on my list of Difference Making books in my career. The Speed of Trust is at home in that box.
As I mentor young professionals, hiring, coaching, developing, challenging — one thing that makes me sad is how untrusting the newer generations are. Another is how much trust our generation eroded.
If, as Difference Makers, all we do is establish a fertile field where seeds of trust will grow and multiply — what a difference we will have made.
