“I don’t need your drama in my life (no more)
I don’t want your worry or your spite (no more)
And if it makes you mad, that’s really just too bad
It’s always such a waste of precious time
So, I don’t need your drama in my life”
– Lyric from “Drama” by Cowboy Mouth
Fred’s lyrics often are both funny and compelling, and that’s the case here, for sure. The catchy tune and hook (see Matt Jones teaching how to play it here) really help get this song stuck in your head, but the message should stick, too, for Difference Makers.
Unless we’re at the theatre, drama is almost always unnecessary and always virtually useless. And, unless we’re at the theatre, it is always a waste of precious time.
If it’s our drama, we owe it to everyone else to put an end to it. If it’s someone else’s drama, we owe it to ourselves to step away.
