I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the choices we get to make, the ones we have to make and the ones we don’t have to make.
Difference makers know that if it is not necessary to decide, it is necessary not to decide, but with media, recruiters and authors all glorifying the bold decision maker, what gets lost is the genuinely bold move of not acting.
Activity that is going somewhere is productive activity. Activity that is put in motion just for the sake of motion may mean we missed a chance to make a deliberate choice about what we won’t do.
