By the same token, pointless debate doesn’t advance the cause.
So, where does a leader — a difference maker — draw the line?
If every voice has been heard, and there is no consensus, then the leader must decide.
If every voice has been heard and there is consensus, the leader must decide if the consensus advances the cause. And then, the leader must decide.
In short, leaders must decide.
